QBrew is a homebrewing recipe calculator for Linux, BSD and other unices. The QBrew
homepage is at <http://www.usermode.org/code.html>.

QBrew requires the Qt 2.2.x library. Since this is the newest version, it
might not be included with your operating system. You can get the latest version
of the Qt library at <http://www.trolltech.com/>.

Earlier versions of QBrew worked with older versions of Qt. But I'm no longer
supporting older versions of Qt. The newly released KDE 2.0 uses Qt 2.2, so
it should become commonplace on Linux and BSD distributions. Sooner or later
I would have had to draw a line, so I'm drawing it now :-)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please read the INSTALL file for installation instructions. Additional
documentation can be found in the source tree under './qbrew/docs' and are
installed by default to '/usr/local/qbrew/doc'.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

QBrew 0.2.0 is using new file formats. For the time being, you can convert
files from older releases using the -convert command line option. The files
affected are ".qbrew", "calcdb" and the recipe files. Use the command
"qbrew -help" for complete details. The older file versions will only be
supported until version 1.0 is released, or one year, which ever comes later.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please see the AUTHORS file for a list of contributors, and the ChangeLog file for
a list of changes since the previous release.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

QBrew is released under a very liberal license which reflects the author's wishes
with regards to this software. No payment or registration is required, but the
author would be extremely delighted to receive bottles filled with homebrew created
with QBrew. Photos of such bottles will do in a pinch. If you wish to contribute to
the further inebriation of the author, please send mail to <david@usermode.org>
requesting a physical address to send the bottles to.
