Roadamp to version 1.0 (Roadmap frozen)
=============================================

* Same as 1.0RC1 ;-)

Roadamp to version 2.0.0 (Roadmap not frozen)
=============================================

- Optimize some things inside GTKtalog like using memory chuncks instead of calling
   malloc too much.

- Work on libgtktalog and have GTKtalog use libgtktalog.

- Have a search algorithm that allows some mistyping or approximative spelling.

- Possibility to add columns just like categories or descriptions, but with a user-defined label.
    Suggestion by Jim Lane <JLane@torontohydro.com> who will maybe use a "location" column.

- Have a max length for information plugins.

- remember the last catalog/disk/dir opened. Bryant <theorem21@hotmail.com> asked for it.

- search in more than 1 cat/desc but not in all should be possible. Bryant <theorem21@hotmail.com> asked for it.

- Save the result of a search. Idea from Niklas <scizzo@sector7.nu>.

- Have a window on the bottom that shows the Information, description or category of a file.
     Idea from Niklas <scizzo@sector7.nu>.

Ideas for version after 1.0.0 (or for people who want to help if the previous
========================================================  was not enough)
                                                        ======================

- Implement MDI (multi-documents).

- Make catalogs of audio CDs. Connect to cddb databases on the internet to get
     names of the CDs and songs. (David Erman <di97@student.hk-r.se> and others)

- generate html instead of txt in a report
   ->Sorry, this will not be implemented. MCatS should do that better.
     Check the gtktalog homepage http://mcats.sourceforge.net to know more about it.

- Use plugins inside VFS (Vaclav Slavik <v.slavik@volny.cz>)

- search into more than 1 disk when not searching in all the disks.

- There should be an eject button near the "Add CD" button on the
toolbar. -- for those of us who sometimes want to eject the CD
immediately after and other times leafve the CD in, without fooling with
prefs. (Bryant <theorem21@hotmail.com>)

- Find duplicate files inside a catalog.
